Agreed depends on what you're wanting to do. Village Tavern or Silo's are great restaurants surrounded by a few boutique shops. Gardens are leisurely and beautiful for pictures or just taking in the sun and nature. People run and walk trails around the house past a waterfall/bridge that leads to Wake Forest. The Reynolda House Museum of American Art is fantastic! Historic house is furnished like a home when the Reynolds and Babcocks lived their with permanent collection art. A new modern design addition is for traveling exhibitions. (1-2 hrs there). You could spend most of a day there in all these places or just a couple hours. :)
Depends on your pace and what you want to do. There are walking trails plus a greenhouse by the gardens and places to eat in the village. The Reynolda House is also within walking distance of the gardens which is nice to tour.
