I am not ready to install new flooring in a bedroom yet, but we have old carpet and pad that need to be taken out. Do you do this if we don't buy right now? Cost? Room is approx 12x12.

They use independent contractors to do the install and tear out. I don't know that they'd be able to find someone willing to do such a small job, and make it part of their schedule for the day. A utility knife and about 10 minutes is all it takes to tear out carpet. It's a one banana job on the difficulty scale.
