I would call the vet. You maybe hurting your companion by not going to see a train professional who knows what to do. Not that we don't know our own pets, but my vet has seen everything . It might be nothing, but I would rather let someone with more experience than myself. I'm not a vet, so call them.
If its really bothering it take it to a Vet you could injure it further by not treating it properly
If it is merely a sprain, try a hot tub with bubbles on. Hydro therapy can help. But I agree with everyone else, a vet will be your best option. It could be arthritis or a torn legiment.
I agree with asking a vet but maybe you could try finding her a brace or wrap for her waist so she doesn't move it. A supplement like glucosamine can probably help her joint stay healthy once it's healed.
