My dear, I am so sorry to hear about your granddaughter. The social worker should have given the parent a card with her name and contact number. On top of this I encourage you to specifically request the contact info of the social workers supervisor. Right away make calls, leave messages, send a photo of your driver's licence to the social workers cell number. They will need a photo of the ID or license of each adult in the house. Tell them in the message that you are a blood relative and wish to be responded to promptly in regards to your grandchild.
