Why they are called seven sisters if the houses are only six?

Painted ladies refer to the 6 Victorian houses and one Edwardian home

They are called the Painted Ladies. Not Seven Sisters.

Maybe one was living in the house of other.

6 were real. 1 was adopted.

Not sure. Perhaps there were seven at one time .
