So far the only time I've had to show my ID there is to get the wristband for alcohol. Times I didn't drink, I was never asked for it. But I'd probably still call & ask.

You are carded after the security search. If 18+ event you will need id. I have needed to show id everytime.
Depending on the concert you should be fine to enter, just not to purchase alcohol
Most venues are all ages, so an ID would not be required to get in. There are sometimes exceptions. Check the website for details about the show you're attending. Either way, you definitely cannot purchase alcohol without valid ID.
