I love dogs. I have a dog myself. However, many people brings dogs to the park and then do not abide by the leash regulations. Many dogs have no leashes, while some people choose to have leashes that extend well beyond the 6 foot regulation. Just today I was at the park and a person had a large dog that was off leash and the dog starting running at me. I had to yell to the person to get the dog on a leash. Lucky the person did so. Was a large pitbull so I was terrified. Many people do not leash their dogs. This becomes more a a problem when such people and their unleashed dogs are on a narrow trail. In that situation, there is no way to avoid the dogs. Many people do not pick up after their dogs. The urine and feces spreads disease and harms wild life. Perhaps there can be a dedicated Dog Park within Kenneth Hahn. The Dog Park within the park could be the only place within the park where people could bring their dogs. My dog would love to interact with other dogs in that way.

It is dog friendly, but have it on a leash. Some goers don't do it, and have gotten in trouble for it.
