The truth is, I do not know and it has never happened to me. My suggestion would be if I pay with a credit or debit card, bring that receipt. If I pay in cash it is different.
If it still has the label attached to it from when I bought it, I think so, because at the end of the purchase another label is attached in case you need to return it. They also take into account how long it has been since you bought it. Good luck
