They have disinfectant wipes available to clean the cart handles when you enter the store.
As a former Walmart employee I can confirm that the carts do not get sanitized, however sanitizing wipes are provided at the entrances for the customers convenience.
They sanitize after ever use now
Thank you for the answer. Looks like I better check the entrance area out a bit better next time im there. Heres another question- Do they actually pay citizens who gather their carts through out the city and return them to the store? Kind of like a finders fee. I heard they would pay $ 5.00 a cart to some individuals if they set it up ahead of time. I dont think they do now because I gathered 8 carts and walked them back to their store and they looked at me like I was weird. I thought I was doing a good deed that would possibly get some kind of credit or compensation. That would be better than turning into their insurance company, right?
They don't sanitize cart handles. They do have sanitizing wipes and or gel dispensers near entrances.
