Yes, if they are not adopted or claimed within a certain time frame. They are given a longer time frame if they are friendly/tame.
Your facility doesn't always wait the allotted time. We had a 5 year old pitbull, she was a good family dog, she killed before we even got a chance to pick her up. ( She got out during a thunderstorm.) We still miss her ðŸ˜.
Yes but the HS makes every effort possible to get these animals adopted and many cats are rescued by other shelters to lower the amount of animals they have to kill. It's an unfortunate evil as it would be impossible not to. Adopt your next pets and please spay/neuter your animals so we can help reduce these numbers.
