In ~95% of cases POA needs to be notarized and apostilled before it can be used in India. You must check with Indian counterpart on the requirements. Also in some cases a 3rd step is required which is authentication by Indian Embassy. Once again please check with Indian counterpart if 3rd step is required or not. We take care of Notary and Apostille. However authentication has to be done by you and you can check consulate website for complete instructions.

It needs to be notarized and apostilled. Both are performed here. Post that you would need to go to the indian counslate.
