This is a terrific little museum in the true heart of Silicon Valley. Docents are friendly and well informed. Displays are well placed and lighted so the visitor gets the whole story of the Murphy family, who they were and how this town got started.

This once a year Christmas tea was a very nice afternoon out. One type of tea tasted wonderful and the ladies serving were very pleasant and always right there with a hot refill just when one was needed. A yellow raisin scones with apricot jam, clotted cream and lemon curd. Only complaint was that the scones was cold and a bit crumbly. Finger sandwiches and a variety of sweets accompanied our tea. All the edibles are made by volunteers; so all monies received go directly to the museum. And we received a free little appetizer size fork as a gift. We had access to the museum before the event. It may be a small space but it is packed with lots of interesting historical facts about the Sunnyvale area. We also were able to visit the Gift shop before and after the tea. Wonderful items, some of which are one of a kind; since many items are donated. They have another tea in the Spring; I highly recommend.

We go every year for the Christmas Victorian tea, and it is always exquisite! The entire museum is run solely by volunteers, and it's clear they put their heart and soul into making the tea wonderful. The museum displays are different every year, and are always fascinating, made up as they are of items which have been donated by people within the community. There's also a charming summer tea, which I intend to start attending as well. Frankly, I wouldn't miss the beautiful holiday tea for anything - it is how we start our Christmas season!

Great little museum to learn about the Murphy's and the history of Sunnyvale. Tour guides were very friendly. I recommend it to anyone living in the area.
