If you request it the trail guides can lead. But they do give a crash course.
They have walking rides and rides where they run the horses some. Neither of them are lead by a person walking. But if you are a first timer, I am am sure they will help with a lead. They are very accommodating. My 11 yr old daughter just did the ride where they run the horse some. She loved it. It's a great place.
