Why dose it take longer then 7 months to receive my new ID? I know the DMV is a prime example of why government failed but this is ridiculous website provides no help either

That seems to be the exception. Real ID took about 2 weeks. You need to call the Sacramento HQ. That's where they're processed.

Go in to DMV office.. Actually they are processing faster than before because of the slower pace.. Clearly something went wrong.. I got my real ID 2 weeks after I filled..dmv is taking walk ins but be there before they open.
