Hey, Eric, it's Graham. What is the name of the flowering (now in bloom) trees we planted at the foot (southeast end) of Bethel Drive? They're wonderful.

Hey ~ Those trees are called "Chitalpa" (Chitalpa tashkentensis). These trees are a hybrid of Southern Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides) and Desert Willow (Chilopsis linearis), and do quite well at tough sites such as Bethel Drive! I'm glad you like them ~ we're pretty fond of them ourselves, since they are so drought-resistant and have such beautiful leaves and fragrant flowers.
