Yes, and you will see them if you leave food out. One weekend while camping on the East Fork, we had a night watch because there was a family of bears that kept coming down and stealing our food. We caught one bathing in the river nearby, as well. They're awesome animals! They're usually easy to scare off.
Yes. Bears live in the forest. Only bears seen by humans though are those heading for the hot tubs nearby when theres a drought usually.

Ive been there atleast 10 times and although there is signs for bears, i have not yet encountered one.
