When was the double tree built? As they boast being a classic hotel, what exactly does that imply?

Believe mid to late 60's and was amongst the first in the area. A true classic and was totally remodeled a number of times.

It was a double question, which you failed to answer the former... And only addressed the latter. I have stayed many times. Although I enjoy its rustic charm, let's face it... The hotel has been in serious needs of renovation for years. The food leaves much to be desired. The rooms are falling apart. [I'm staying in 1560 tonight, with 3 of the 4 lights falling out of their sockets, inside the balcony.] The a.c. units sound like a Hitchcockian monstrosity... They havent been disassembled and had their filters cleaned since Psycho came out. I can't even find the date of construction, with the 2 employees being fired for kicking out a black hotel guest for a phone conversation with his mother in the lobby. I too would like to know, when was it built, and what renovations have they underwent?
