I am seeing a pair of small Herons on the Libby River section of the Scarborough marsh off Black Point Rd. They look like my bird books pictures of “Little Blue Heron”. Are these common here? I have never seen them before.

Little Blue Herons do occur in that part of Maine. Were they blue-gray or white? Juveniles are white and easily confused with Egrets.
