Both good answers. Most airlines offer several options, including print from home (if you check-in online) or print from the kiosks. Alaska, Delta and United also have apps that allow you to check-in from your phone, you then have a boarding pass on your phone.
You can also print them at home via your airline's website, as long as you have your record locator number
