A beautiful park! We were set up on the west side near the playground for the fourth of July! Everything was super beautiful! The grass and trees were super green and the grounds were all well maintained! Would definitely recommend this park for any kind of get together! And for your information it closes at 8!

Went there to play with my camera. Scenery is beautiful, trees were in bloom, water was gorgeous. The path is really nice and there are a lot of space to have fun with big or little groups. I don't have kids but the play area looked nice too.

I was born and raised in the Tri Cities. Did this park used to be a zoo back in the day?? I was only 5 when we were there - baboon tore cousins hand open so that was the end of our visit. Off to the hospital we went. Boo

I dont know 100% for sure, but I do believe it used to be a zoo. Based on a quick Google search the only thing to come up was about 5,000 people visited the zoo in May alone. Due to crazy driving and lane switching the zoo was closed. That is where the story ends so not sure! Hope your cousin was OK how scary! If this was the zoo I'd think lane switching was the least of their worries!

Does the park have a place where you can swim in the river?
