A beautiful park on the Columbia river. The leaves on the trees were changing colors for fall, the beach was calm & nice and the sunset was wonderful.

I took a walk in this little park while on a trip. It has plenty of picnic tables, parking and river side views. It was late August and the weather was very nice after a significant heat wave. Still the grass and trees appeared healthy in spite of that heat. Part of an area I walked was obviously used to set up a tepee, but it was not present when I visited. There are several places to dock along the shore which is great if you are on a small boat fishing on the Columbia River. Our tour group had a large bus which took us around the area. The map seems to to show modest road access to this park, but it looked pretty good to me. Great place for a picnic!

A very nice park along the Columbia River. There is a fee however it's well worth it. Paved roads, plenty of parking, and plenty of shade.

Yes it is. Also Sept. 28th is a "Free Day" where you can visit without a Park Pass :-)
I've gone the last two years and it was similar weather and we still went
With a fishing permit yes. It's not free to π. There is a fine if you want to fish w/o a permit. Also much like alot of the area being affected by stupid gang related tagging. This park is not as nice as it could be do to obvious activities. Don't be afraid Report suspicious people or crimes of any sort.
Yes
Yes, there are two large picnic shelters, one with a barbecue and electricity, the other without. These shelters can hold up to a hundred people on a rainy day.
The park is closed for the season. When it opens, there is one campsite for those traveling the Northwest Discovery Water Trail, and their support crew, up to a maximum of 8 people. Otherwise, there are no camp sites. Camping is allowed for participants at special events, such as Heritage Days, and camping arrangements are made through the event organizers.
