You will need an enhanced ID or a passport to meet the TSA requirements. The requirement goes in effect on October 1, 2020.
I'm assuming you are talking about taking a commercial flight. If so you only need a valid identification card. If going outside the US border you need a passport. To fly a plane you will definitely need the qualifications to be able to. If you are wanting to fly a plane from Pasco airport just talk to Bergstrom they teach how to fly planes. They would have the information needed.
