They had stopped several people and said they had to get rid of them or they would not be allowed entry. People either left them on the side of the building or threw them away. Uncertain about purses. The policy might change based on performers.

Last we went they were allowed, but they completely empty and thoroughly search it before you're allowed in. This was for a live performance with a merchandise booth though.
