It has to be drained of oil first. You can recycle oil there up to 5 gallons in a sealed container per visit. The old tank should be cut in half and put in the appropriate metal recycle bin. All of that is FREE.
No more than 15 gallons at a time, household only, no business, and the oil tank has to have some sort of an opening big enough to easily see into it. The oil tank will go on the metal pile on the tippping floor only.

Yes. If it's empty, you can just toss it in the metals pile. If it's not empty you would need to empty the oil out into a container then you could toss the tank in the metals pile then take the oil to the household hazardous waste at the recycling center there.
