I'm not sure if any of the movie was filmed in Bangor, the book/movie take place in Derry which is a fictional town inspired by Bangor. I believe the scene in the movie was filmed in Port Hope, with a replica Paul Bunyan statue.

No. It was filmed in Toronto, Oshawa and Port Hope Ontario in Canada. I watched several parts of the filming process. The main scenes of the town (Derry), including the statue scene, were shot in Port Hope.
