I have a general question. If someone lives in Los Angeles and receives SSI, and then they move to an area where the cost of living is lower, will there monthly payment automatically lower as well?

Yes They will have to Report Address Change, and that Following Month their amount will Change. I get SSI I live in Oregon. I Moved to California Yuba City They Uped my SSI by $200 Due to I was told they didn't have a Food stamp Program so that Extra $200 was for Food Cost.
