It was very nice when I went on Friday... the weather is perfect. A lot of walking so this time of the year makes the excursion more enjoyable.

This is one of top zoo's in the world! As many have stated anytime is a good time to go but definitely during the off-season is best to beat the crowds and get more time to experience it. The shear size dictates you'll want to come early to hit as much as you can. And getting the san diego or LA GO cards will make it even more convenient and cost-effective! We love zoos and having bee to zoos in Berlin, Poznan, Milan, new York, Tokyo, toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and Seattle this is by far the best zoo we've ever attended. But I hear the Bronx Zoo ranks up there as well!
