I volunteer there virtually every weekend and I can firsthandedly tell you that, that is not true. Us volunteers and the staff work very hard to make sure the animals are in great condition.
Hi Betty, I apologize for the misinformation you have received but our animals (cats and dogs) are not in poor condition. You are welcome to visit our animals during our normal business hours and take a look at their condition. They are all provided food, water, shelter, and much love from staff and volunteers on a daily basis.
I can attest to this: if an animal comes in that is in bad condition, they are cleaned up, nursed back to health, and fixed given up to date shots and then put up for adoption. But no the animals are not in poor condition. If they start getting sick they are immediately put in the back for vet care away from healthy adoptable pets.
I went through their training program to volunteer. All animals are very well taken care of. It is open to the public. Drop by!
If you're close you can tour at any time. My granddaughter adopted two and they were healthy and all shots were given. Very pleased with them. Very helpful and don't mind answering questions.
