I find the wait staff at Sweet Betty's to be far better. The breakfast specials are always in point. Black bear often has ki5chen issues. So over all I would prefer Sweet Betty's.
It's a lot better than any Black Bear diner I've ever been to. French toast especially.

Sweet Bettys is much smaller maybe 12 tables with a semi funky 2010's vibe... Mostly black interior with tin/ metal roofing accented bar/ counter and semi driving dance beat music playing in the background, thankfully quiet enough for close up conversation. Definately recommend the french toast. Portions are normal size. They serve some alcohol. Probably not the best place for a baby, but all ages go there... Even a few regular seniors when I went.
Sweet Betty's is great. Never been to Black Bear.
It is sometimes packed depending on when you go. I do not personally like black bear so to me its way better.
