Since it is still summer vacation for many I would probably try to get there fairly early to make sure to get a spot and a spot by the river preferably! Id say the earlier the better. Have a great time!
It's a campground that's based first come first serve basis so I would suggest you to get there as soon as you can. However that weekend is not a holiday so I don't think you would have much problem getting a site.
