Good afternoon, Lisa. Thanks for contacting LPL. Anyone is welcome to visit the library and take advantage of many of our services, including the use of internet-connected public computers, without having a library card. You're correct that in order to borrow any items, a library card is required. FMI, see http://lplonline.org/services/library-cards/. Library Cards are available to non-residents for a yearly fee of $60 (or $30 for 6 months — $15 for 3 months). This card entitles the holder to all library services. Non-resident cards must be purchased in the library. The LPL calendar of events is here: http://lplonline.org/events-programs/events-calendar-view/. Please don't hesitate to contact the library at 207.513.3004 or 207.513.3135. Thanks!
