There are plenty of rides there that are not fast and scary. 7 is a great age for legoland. If I were you I would wait until the new ride opens in summer
My 4 year old was tall enough for every ride but 1 and wasn't scared at all on any of them.
There are not really much scary rides. I'm eleven and I started to soon get bored. But there aren't many thriller rides. I can tell you that much.
Most of the rides aren't scary at all. I think that's why my older kids get really bored at the park. There are some boat rides themed around Lego structures from around the world or fairy tales. Miniland is really cool and worth several hours of close inspection. The dragon ride st the back of the park is one of the faster ones, but the beginning is super tame and shows a castle, a magician, and of course the dragon. The fast part at the end isn't bad and my younger kids ended up liking it although scared at first. Coastersaurus at the front of the park is the perfect short coaster to ease younger kids into rides that are faster. It's so short that they run it twice each time. I would avoid project x, which is the scariest. There's also two interactive rides, one that's Ninjago themed in 3D that you use your hands to throw ninja stuff at the bad guys. And the other is like laser tag from inside a jeep, Egyptian themed, Lost Kingdom Adventure.
He would enjoy the lego building stations located around the park.
Okay so in our case, what's a must.... what ride should I take my son on that for sure he'll love? That way I do pass it when were there.

How many rides are there and will I ride all the rides before it closes (not including lines)?
