If adults are not riding do they have to purchase tickets, or can tickets be bought for children only?

Adults have to purchase tickets. When we went we used a "kids go free with a adult ticket purchase". With our special we also got to choose either a Sea Life or their water park ticket. There's a lot of specials out there for Legoland you just have to do some research. I hope I was able to help....
