It is free. If you need a boat then there is a charge. I have seen people just walk up and find a place to fish without using a boat.
I have never fished at the lake but for some reason I think its free.
Free with your license but you can rent boats and buy bait etc if need be. There are paid clinics throughout the year and that info can be found at the boat shack.
