Beautiful view from pavilion. Lots of geese and their babies. Went over to playground where my granddaughter had a great time π

Itβs a big loop of 2.5-3miles around Centennial Lake offering for walking, running, biking, fishing to boating. It has a beautiful sunset mirror to the lake to enjoy! Itβs a beautiful park to enjoy while exercising! Thereβs different entryways around the park to get you to different part of the trails, with available parking lots.

You can walk for about 2.5 miles around the lake on a wooded trail. Itβs beautiful and you can bring your dog along. There is ample parking available.

By the pavillions but idk if they are unlocked if there's no event
They have pavilions to rent for picnics, and random tables under trees with charcoal grills. I do not think they allow propane grills at all. It is first come, first serve for everything there though, so best to get there early in the day!
It is free. If you need a boat then there is a charge. I have seen people just walk up and find a place to fish without using a boat.
Call on officiall number dear
The south/main entrance is best to get to a playground that is closer to the west side nearest Centennial Lane.
Unfortunately, it has a gate to open and close by following the operation hours.
You can use the grills n tables under the trees. The only fee would be if you wanted to use the pavilion. The public restrooms are closed though, you have to use portapottys. As for alcohol, im not sure but I believe that it is legal to do so. I suggest checking their website to be 100% sure. To get a grill and a good location, I highly suggest getting there extremely early as the park n parking lot fills up quickly.
Likely yes
depending late aug- early sept but its still pretty green out right now so this nov might be peak time
I think you need a vote
It does not appear so. There's Howard County Bike Share, which has stations across Columbia and Ellicott City, but nothing in Centennial Park itself. If you do try the Bike Share, there are bike paths all over Columbia, so getting to the park shouldn't be too difficult.
I am pretty sure you can
There is a substantial array of playground equipment, but nothing intended for adults.
There are pavilions available. You can call 410-313-4682 up to one year in advance.
It is Howard County Recreation you would want, but you don't need to have a permit if it's not an organized thing. If you want to reserve the area though, call Howard County.
$15 per half hour if you're Howard County resident it's open weekends weather permitting
Unfortunately not but there is a really nice playground and family friendly trails.
Yes you can fish in any weather. Just stay in the designated zones and dont forget your license.
Centennial Park is a public park maintained by Howard County,MD to provide a safe and peaceful use of county park land for recreational and educational benefit.
There are several areas to fish from. You can also rent boats or kayaks for use on the lake. There are also several youth fishing events scheduled at the park. Info can be found at the boat shack. Fishing is for all ages but over 16 requires a license.
This park can get very crowded on weekends, particularly in nice weather. Doesn't mean you shouldn't come, but parking may fill up at the South (main) entrance. Most Pavilions are already reserved well in advance on the weekends.
