I want to bring my Inspire 2 drone as carry on because I don't trust baggage handlers with it. Is that an issue? How do I go about safely making this happen through TSA and such?

As long as it fits the airline carry on size criterion it should be ok. Unless they have a policy against the battery packs being in the cabin.
