I don’t live in the US, but I’m gonna be in Portland, OR for 2 weeks. I want to buy a lot of things at Costco but to be able to buy with discounts, do I have to subscribe as a member? Can I subscribe to be a member for only 2 weeks?

Not a member you cannot purchase the card has to be provided every time just like your ID for an alcohol purchase

1. You can purchase a one year membership use it when here and cancel it before you leave and get your money back. 2. You can have a friend or family with a membership take you in but they will have to buy whatever it is you want. 3. You can get a day pass at membership desk, my logistics be on that is unclear. 4.. If you are buying prescription items from pharmacy you don't need a membership 5. Certain states with regard to alcohol don't require membership....I am unclear on this one also.

I believe you need to purchase a one year membership. You can go with someone that has a membership and pay cash.

I've heard you can purchase without being a member. Be sure to go to the one by the airport. A bigger Costco and more choices
