First off don’t let anyone tell u what’s good for you... if u want to switch I’m pretty sure u can go straight from subs to methadone HOWEVER DO NOT GO STRAIGHT FROM METHADONE TO SUBS..... u will be IN DEBILITATING WITHDRAWALS I have been successfully on for over 10 years... I’m a thriving member of society I am a great mother to 3 children including 1 special needs child who relies on me for everything and a new granddaughter who we raise... so u can do it... good luck I hope this is helpful

I was the opposite. I felt no joy on suboxone. I was tired of choosing staying clean or feeling any happiness so after my last (long) relapse I gave methadone a try (plus subs had stopped working at keeping me from getting sick the first 3-5 days and I didn’t want to be sick. Methadone worked great! It’s been 2 months now and I never got sick and I feel this sense of “normal” that I didn’t know was missing, I feel good, I am a morning person now, regained an interest in sex again, etc... I’m scared of what awaits if I have to suddenly stop however.......

Why in the hell would you ever want to do that? Methadone is great if you want to be incapable of feeling joy.

Stop taking subs and start taking methadone
