Is this the same place that was called like "Rock Solid," or "Rock"-?, decades ago? I remember going to an indoor rock climbing place near the airport as a kid, so🤔 Quick "?" Can you come alone? I remember my cousin had to hold my safety rope.

Yes! It used to be Solid Rock until about 16 months ago when it was purchased by vertical hold. You can go by yourself and either boulder (no ropes) or use the auto belay system (there are 2). You have more options if you come with a partner, but you can still do a lot of climbs solo.

It's great to know that place is still there!...I think Shakespeare once said, off the record, "An indoor climbing rose by any other name would smell as sweet"😁 Decades later, I still remember that feeling of fulfillment that comes when one finds that perfect, rounded off, "pocket" hand-hold, allowing you to ascend. I'll need to go to a sporting goods store (or perhaps they are sold there) in order to find a nice climbing shoe. But again, thank you for your great and timely response!
