They were built in 1988 and no sound proofing was added.
Lots of noise, not through the walls but through the FLOOR. I could semi-frequently hear my downstairs neighbors kid running around, and those were the quiet neighbors.
We have carpet in the bedrooms and most floorplans have carpet in the main rooms also, which helps minimize sound travel. We also have terms on the lease regarding acceptable noise levels. We experience the same noise concerns as all other apartment communities in this market, that were built in the mid 1980's. Noise Level has not been an issue for our residents.
We haven't heard any noise. Not sure if our neighbors were silent :)
