$56.00 + 0.5hr labor is what it should cost.(plus diagnosis if needed) I'm a retired service tech and have referred many Ford owner to go to this dealership only to be disappointed with their experiences with them! Lack of caring and experienced people.
You might want to ask to speak to the service manager, and see if there's anything more they can do for you price-wise. That sounds like an awfully expensive brake light switch to me. Also, you can contact other dealerships, or private repair shops, and ask them what their prices might be. If you can get the part number for the switch you need, you should be able to go online and Google it or check it on Amazon, and see if you can get it yourself any cheaper, and then you supply the part, the shop only does the work on installing it. They won't guarantee your switch at that point, but if it's new, it should last you a while. They will have to guarantee their labor however. I hope this helps. Cheers!
Ah man, I used them after a horrible experience with Canby Ford. Landmark was amazing! They had a customer service manager come out to help me as soon as they heard about my Canby experience. Excellent customer service. And their parts dept is also top notch with excellent prices. But they also know I'm not ignorant and I tell them exactly what I need, expect, and won't be ripped off. I amazon and Google prices right in front of them.. I highly recommend Landmark. I've never bought a vehicle from them, but would. Maybe they thought you were an easy fish. Or, maybe it's a little more involved than a simple switch.
