This is more so a review for the city of Tigard. How can homeowners be responsible for the sewer under the street? Even if its a foot away from the main line? I truly do not understand. Portland covers curb to curb and the owner is responsible from curb up to the house. Has anyone else experienced this before??

The city is really showing and implementing equity rather than just talking about it. They are also very quick to get back to community member questions.

I love Potso park, primarily because of the small dog section. There is definately a sense of community when you start to visit regularly. I do wish it was open more hours during the week, especially in the winter. Hopefully with the recent purchase of the park we'll get more access. Occasionally dogs visit who are not suitable for off leash rough-housing, and there needs to be a number posted so we can deal with them without confronting defensive owners.

Are there going to be fireworks at the high school this year?

Gary Harrison | Aug 17, 2019
Jesse Nemec | Aug 17, 2019

Yes, but it will be a little different this year due to construction at the school. The fireworks display will start around 9:30, but all other activities that normally happen during this event are canceled this year. No spectator access or parking allowed on school property. I don't know, but I'm sure you could find out at the police station. Tigard police are responsive and helpful.
