Walk into the office at 8 a.m. or choose to wait in line to ask your question again and get a answer right there and then or wait at least 48 hours if at that. The staff at the Social Security office does tend to answer questions in a prompt manner. So depends.... left a voicemail message or asked online. It all depends on how you asked your question.
