They just want to make sure the animal is not going to come back to them
Yes
I adopted a cat from them back in June. They did not do a home visit. When I adopted my last cat back in 2008 they did. It just depends.
There is an adoption screening process that includes a home visit. It is occasionally waived at the discretion of the Director or Adoption Counselor. We welcome pets back when things don't work out but it's best for them if the first placement is solid. We want to be sure every animal adopted is a good fit with its new family and do as much as we can to ensure that fit before placement.
It's random, but yes they do. It's written on the adoption paperwork.
No I have never heard of that before
