Why did you steal my dog after only 3 days and then sell her "a service animal" . Would that make you thieves and liers?
Our standard hold is 5 days, after which the animal becomes the property of SPCHS and we are able to rehome him/her if medical checks are passed and there are not extenuating circumstances. Hold times are different within the city limits of Long Beach and Ilwaco than they are in Pacific County; where the dog was found plays into the answer of your question. Also, if a dog comes to us with a medical condition, or they have had exposure to something contagious such as ringworm, these things can require isolation and/or treatment. These are taken care of before Fido can be put into the adoption pool.
