Is this a good place to practice for a beginner level player? I've only been playing for a couple of months and want to become better but I don't know if it's worth it for the price.

So in order to get better one needs to play harder opponents. So if 15 bucks on a Saturday until 5pm is worth it then yes. However. There is an overwhelming amount of talent there. Of the 9 I played against 2 of them acknowledged me back in English.

Its a good place to practice for all levels. The drop in fee is 16.00 for the day. You can also play in the Spttc league Saturday at 5:00 pm where you will play anywhere from 6-8 matches.
