The current sheriff is Chuck Atkins & before him was Garry Lucas (yes, 2 r's). Between the two of them you are looking at approximately the last 30 years of sheriffs as Lucas held the position for 24 years starting in 1991. Lucas began his career as a deputy January 1st, 1968.
