When you adopt an animal, do you register them with the humane society or do they just scan the chip when they find your animal. I have three cats who are all d. They are all indoors but I was just curious what to if they ever - God forbid - got out.

Hi Ruth, Andria is absolutely correct. They scan for chips right away, so keep your information updated. Take care, Ken

I believe they will scan lost pets that are turned into them. They use homeaway to micro chip their animals that are adopted out and make sure the info is accurate and updated.
