Once you try Bowpicker you wont want to go anywhere else but there is a long street of other places to try even pig n pancake or Mc donalds. But honestly bowpicker is where you willl want to eat.
The maritime museum is across the 9
Every time I come to town there are two places where I have eat at least once. One is Bow Picker and the other is Custard King. Custard King has the best fish tacos I have ever eaten and I have tried numerous places in my travels.
Bridgewater bistro. Rouge pier 39. Port George
We have tried several Fish & Chips places on the Oregon Coast and Bowpickers is by far the best hands down - its the closest to the many of F&C shops in the Uk. Where its a staple of the UK.
I heard fish mongers in warrenton was good. I know uptown Cafe is good. I love Normas in Seaside.
I am sure there are other places that is good but if you like fish this is the place to get it. I thought at first when I heard they use tuna for their fish & chips I was not so sure about it, as I have only eaten tuna fresh & raw in sushi or as a child in a can but I tell you I was surprisingly surprised with BowPickers version & it's not greasy like cod or halibut. The crust is flaky not soggy or oily. If you have not eaten here I highly recommend it at less once. I went to Astoria last month with my daughter & her hubby for a hike & we eat here for the first time, then went back a week later with my son when he was in town just for BowPickers fish & chips so my son could try them, he even said the 2 hour drive from my home to Astoria was worth the drive.
There's pigs in a blanket which is really good and fast food
