Why does the friendship house not feed breakfast instead of dinner? I would think it would be cheaper and it would motivate people to get up and do something. People could be directed to day labor and other community resources.

We used to serve all 3 meals but the local business owners and the church got tired of the homeless community congregating around the area in front of shops all day. They tried to close the FH down all together but failed to do so. The reality is that most in the homeless community are respectful and grateful for what we do, but a small % of them ruined it for the greater

Wow! I don’t get the fact that above all even the church tried to close the only shelter mount vernon has down!!! Leaves me speechless!!!
